THE WORLD CUP, AND THE TRADITION OF FIFA.
In the world of sports, nothing compares to the Fifa World Cup. It is by far the most watched sporting event in the world and the most prestigious trophy in sports. Happening once every four years, fans and players alike are treated to the best football in the world for about a month during the summer.
In reality, the World Cup is like no other sporting event in the world. International teams will start their qualifying for the World Cup three years before the actual tournament year. It is a long and grueling process for these teams and players but once the goal is achieved, the tradition and richness of playing in the Fifa World Cup makes the entire process worth it. In addition to qualifying, all of these players have a professional club schedule to play along with their international teams.
There is so much honor and stigma surrounding the World Cup. It is the one thing that takes the entire world’s attention away and brings nations closer together. Every tournament year there are new teams and new opportunities to be found at the Fifa World Cup. Due to the tournament being hosted in a different country every year, there is more than just sport to be found and the world cup but group of nations who are often rivals, coming together with one common goal.
